“Jake our guide was fantastic. Spoke for two hours on the bus about Bavarian history was delivered it with both facts and humour. Very easy to listen to. The castle itself was one that you would expect to see in Orlando Florida, except this one was real. So glad we took the tour. Looks of mountain walking and stairs involved , so not suitable for those with fitness issues or injuries. You must do this trip if you are in Munich.”

“Paid a lot for the experience and got our money’s worth. The premium trip offered us a coach with spacious seating and onboard kitchen bar with free coffee, tea, pretzels and biscuits. A beer was offered towards the end of the trip. Our guide was very knowledgeable and humorous to boot. He really watched out for all the attendees and when I advised him that an elderly lady in our group was still heading down from the Neuschwanstein castle to the car park at the time of departure, he wasn’t at all upset and said “for her, we will wait”. Excellent service.”

“The boat itself was very beautiful and felt truly luxurious. Everything was spotless, the staff were very kind, and despite the bad weather outside, the vessel was pleasantly warm and comfortable. We went in January, so personally I wasn’t completely captivated by the views – I can imagine it must be much more stunning in summer. (Maybe 3 hours was little bit long.) One funny note: I ordered the soup because I was really hungry, and it turned out to be a traditional Saxon specialty… let’s just say it’s probably something I won’t eat again! 😄”

“Visited Germany over the Christmas hols and was glad to find a tour to the castles on Boxing Day. Personally preferred Linderhof because of the intricate details and we could visit entire palace. Neuschwanstein was only abt 35 mins seeing part of the castle. The interiors are reminiscent of Residenz Munchen. Neuschwanstein inspired Disney if I am not wrong but cannot see his beauty from ground up. Aerial view would be better. Shuttle buses were not running thus upslope to Neuschwanstein can be a challenge. Being an animal lover I will not support horse carriages also. Thank you to Bashkin (driver) and guides Gabriel and Pedro for taking care of…”

From the moment we were greeted upon arrival at the bus until our return to Munich 11 hours later, Ursula’s enthusiasm, knowledge, sense of humor and endless knowledge were all top notch. While I’d been to Germany before, she shared so much information I’d never known - about the sites we visited, King Ludwig, Bavaria, WW2, breweries, additional recommendations for German travel, and more. I highly recommend this experience, you won’t regret it AND Ursula’s love of her country and all…”
